The Shaggy Rag is our club’s newsletter that at one time was produced 3-4 times per year and sent to all the members. Several years ago, while Celia Sawyer was president, the BCCSC Board decided to change that to one time per year, all color. It became the “Specialty” Newsletter. In 2017, we not only showcased the Specialty but also the whole year of events. What a wonderful way to look back on the year! The Bearded Collie Club of Southern California is very proud of this newsletter and we have gotten lots of accolades regarding the style, and the information presented. All members receive a copy in the mail one time per year. If non-members order an ad or a brag, they can pay an additional amount to have one mailed to them also. The club also sends out an “Eblast” called the Beardie Blast, where we can share lots of information and events as the Board plans them. It’s a great way to communicate and showcase our events to the members. Ads and brags can always be done this way throughout the year.
